Biography:
Red Grooms was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and went to study art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, and the New School of Social Research in New York. His style developed into a whimsical, and Red accounts for it by having "a giddy sense of reality." Currently he resides New York City, and works as a full-time artist, as well as an occasional visiting professor. His work is hugely influential and quite popular in the world of Pop Art.
